From a day’s trip to Syaule, Sindhupalchowk

I was part of a group of people acquainted with Mahendra Shrestha, a local of Syaule VDC in constituency 2 of Sindhupalchowk district. We collected funds for rice, lentils, beans, cooking oil, tarp and blankets to hand over to locals in a few wards of Syaule. Our convoy consisted of two Tata mini-trucks, 20 volunteers and about 7.5 tons of relief materials. We left early morning on May 16, the twenty-second day since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake and the fifth day since the 7.3 magnitude aftershock.
